NELP Conversations Pod Casts

NELP Conversations is a space for discussions between our Place Partners exploring how we evaluate and learn from complex programmes in real-world settings.

Featuring voices from Sport England-funded Place Partnerships and others working across systems, these conversations share reflections, insights, and questions from those involved in the day-to-day work of making change happen.

NELP Conversations Episodes available on Spotify here

  • Embedding Place Evaluation and Learning - A conversation between Kenny Chu, Learning Research and Insights Officer at Merseyside Sports Partners and Dr Harriet Wingfield, North Strategic Lead (NELP) discussing their approach to Place Evaluation and Learning and how they have cascaded the model to the Place Partnerships in their region.
  • Engaging partners with the nine conditions for change - brought to you by representatives from Hackney Place Partnership and Active Oxfordshire. They reflect on the value of shared learning as they navigate the complexities of evaluating sport-based, place-based work and how the system maturity matrix can support their work as a tool for reflective thinking, engaging partners and collecting data.
  • Social learning spaces - Representatives from Tees Valley Sport and You've Got This talk about what social learning spaces are, the challenges with setting them up and some practical advice on how to start.
  • A mini-series from East Yorkshire Place Partnership - this 3 episode mini-series looks at how the system maturity matrix is used as part of their work through conversations with other Place Partners in their region.
