Welcome to the Place Support area.

What is the Place Support System?

To bring to life the place evaluation and learning approach, as well as build Place Partnership’s capacity for evaluation & learning in complexity.

The Place Support System (PST) is a crucial pillar underpinning NELP and Sport England’s commitment to support places in their evaluation and learning journey. The PST endeavours to create a collaborative environment to guide place partnerships through the E&L journey they are on building confidence, capacity and capability.

How does the Place Support System function?

This is a collective endeavour involving NELP Place Support Leads, the Place Relationship Team, and of course Place Partnerships. The Place Support Team aims to be direct and responsive, with cluster-level support to enable engagement in evaluation and learning activities. The structure is aligned to the Sport England regional cluster model.

How can this part of the website support me in my Place?

Using the left hand panel, you can navigate to relevant information, training and resources relating to your participation in the NELP national evaluation of place-based approaches to tackling inequalities in physical activity.

There is lots of activity happening across the year and different types of support available which is illustrated in the Activity across the year section.
